RARE CARVED WOOD SWORDFISH MOUNT. First half 20th Century, American. This nicely carved two-sided three dimensional example originally designed as a double-sided trade sign with back and tail mounts for hanging, in shades of indigo and teal. SIZE: 7′ 4″ l x 37″ h. CONDITION: With professionally repainted surfaces and with old sheet metal reinforcements in area of mouth, in front of dorsal fin, and in front of tail fin. With normal and expected wear to areas of fins and tip of sword. Generally very good. 9-24078 (3,000-4,000)
