CARVED FOLK ART WALKING STICK. First 3rd 19th century New England. The maple stick depicting a fully carved man attired in “bowler” hat, shirt, and loin cloth mounted on a cylindrical shaft terminating in a woven copper “foot”. Possibly fraternal carving. SIZE: 31-1/4″ l. CONDITION: Stick retains original black paint with good, nutty patina, with minor age chips and abrasions. Generally very good. 9-27766 (800-1,200)
