FINE SET OF EIGHT LIMOGES COBALT-BLUE AND PAINTED SERVICE PLATES. First half 20th century. Each plate with a central handpainted floral bouquet within a gilt-decorated surround, on a cobalt-blue ground, the edge with heavy gilt scrolled embossing. Each marked “LIMOGES FRANCE” centering a scrolled cartouche containing “W.G. & Co.” for Elite Works, Bawo and Dotter, Limoges France. SIZE: Each 11″ dia. PROVENANCE: From a Bangor, ME, collection. CONDITION: In very good to excellent condition overall, two with minor surface scratch in ground. 9-92359 (600-800)
