BANANA WAGON SPEEDWAY PACEMAKER GAS POWERED RACER. Made specifically for the renowned Peter DePaolo, presented to him by the factory in 1951. DePaolo’s cars were always yellow in color, always numbered “12”, and always known as “Banana Wagons”. Powered by a .60 Hornet engine. The lot includes a letter of provenance from DePaolo’s son Tom confirming that this racer was given to his father Peter and was in his collection for many years. SIZE: 17″ l. CONDITION: Some minor crazing and paint chips around graphics, wear to hubs, small corner cracks to paint at seat corners.
