ATTRIBUTED TO RANSOME GILLET HOLDREDGE (AMERICAN, 1836-1899) AFTERNOON WATERING. Large unframed landscape shows a man walking down a path holding a bucket and walking stick. He approaches the water while three cows have made it to a further part of water. The rest of the herd is coming over a small knoll where the break in the gray clouds has cast light. A long roofed house sits below tall pine trees with steep mountains in the background. Unsigned front but the stretcher having in black “HOLDREDGE”. SIZE: 30-1/2″ x 52″.
