JEROME HOWES (AMERICAN, 1955 – ) PORTRAIT OF THE SCHOONER “FANNIE”. Oil on canvas portrait of a two-masted small schooner sailing right to left in choppy white-tipped ocean. Four figures are seen on deck. The sails are full and the American flag flies off the back. The boat’s name is on the bow and on the red, white and blue pennant off the back mast. A lighthouse is seen off the bow, all under a white cloud and blue sky. Signed lower right. Housed in a gilt modern wood frame. SIZE: 22″ x 28″.
