RARE EMBROIDERED SOUTH CAROLINA PALMETTO TREE HARDEE HAT DEVICE. Bullion embroidered palmetto tree device applied to black velvet-backed 3” x 2” oval. This is the same size and construction of an embroidered Jeff Davis hat device. Device is sewn over a metal backing, which originally had wires for attachment to hat. These wires are now missing. Scattered mothing around palmetto tree. This device is pictured in a frame of South Carolina reunion memorabilia of a South Carolina Confederate veteran. 4-56169 JS183 (500-1,000)
