DIMINUTIVE SPONGE DECORATED DOME TOP TRUNK. Second quarter 19th century. This nice pine example with dovetailed case applied with olive green and gray sponge decoration with the name “Nancy Abbott” painted on the bottom board. SIZE: 12-1/2″ h x 30″ l x 14″ d. CONDITION: Original decorated surfaces in good condition overall with normal and acceptable wear. Wire hinges appear original. Lock original. Carrying handles now absent. Brown spot touch ups to one end of trunk. 9-20685 (200-300)
