ISRAEL JACK LEVITAN (AMERICAN, 1912 – 1982) FEMALE NUDE. Outstanding wood sculpture showing cubist form modern sculpture of a nude woman. Appears to be unsigned but its white,square,plywood base marked, “LIPCHITZ 558 BAY #7 LW2-WALL”. The figure has a wonderful patina with some filled cracks. SIZE: 35-1/2″h x 13″w x 12″d. On base: 41″h. CONDITION: There are filled cracks. One foot may be repaired, other wise very good. 9-97623 (4,000-6,000)
