NICE FOLK ART CARVED AND PAINTED SALMON WEATHERVANE. Early 20th century. Carved from pine with sheet copper fins and tail. Tail ribbed. Painted red and rendered with open mouth and shaped copper penny eyes. Now mounted on a museum stand. SIZE: 17-1/2″ h x 45″ l. CONDITION: Very good with weathered surfaces. Dry original crusty red paint remains present. Fins and tail with verdigris and with normal and expected abrasion and wear. Very good overall. 9-29180 (2,000-3,000)
