REGENCY ROSEWOOD AND MOTHER OF PEARL INLAID TEA CADDY. Ca. 1810. Of sarcophagus form, the hinged lid opening to an interior fitted with a pair of lidded compartments joined to the molded, beaded base, raised on suppressed ball feet. Inlaid overall with mother of pearl scroll vinery and floral sprays. SIZE: 6-1/2″h x 8″l x 4-3/4″w. CONDITION: Very fine overall with original surfaces and good patina. Box retains original hardware, lids and silvered paper interior. Escutcheon absent. 9-94439 (500-750)
