FOLK ART PAINT-DECORATED INDIAN IN CANOE WHIRLIGIG. Circa 1920, New England. The colorful small whirligig depicting a Native American in canoe with paddle arms carved with simple flattened design and having applied bead or seed eyes, the headdress scribed, the paddles mortised to the arms, a copper tube passing through the canoe bottom now mounted on a museum stand. SIZE: Overall: 9-1/2″ h x 15″ l. CONDITION: Very good with original dry alligatored painted surfaces with appropriate wear due to weathering. 9-29175 (600-900)
