FINE REGENCY INLAID WRITING/DRESSER BOX. Ca. 1810. The hinged, sloping lid elaborately inlaid with exotic hardwoods and a Tunbridge inlaid border fitted to the conforming case and opening to an interior with baise-lined writing slope and divided compartments for inkwells and writing instruments. The case fitted with cast brass lion’s mask handles above opposing string inlaid shallow compartmented drawers fitted with similar handles, the whole raised on later turned brass feet. SIZE: 8″h x 15-1/2″ overall l x 12-3/4″d. CONDITION: Very fine condition, professionally re-polished and restored with lovely color and patina. 9-94445 (1,000-2,000)
