BIRTH RECORD OF ROBERT PARKER PARROTT. Written in brown ink. Robert P. Parrott invented the Parrott Rifle cannon. It states that he was born on Thursday, October 4th in the “afternoon between the hours of two and three.” Parrott developed the Parrott rifle cannon that was the backbone of the artillery for both the army and the navy during the American Civil War. This came from the family and spent several years in the collection of artillery book author Dr. Lawrence Pawl. SIZE: 6-3/4″ x 7-1/8″.
