FINE CARVED DENTIST TRADE SIGN. 19th century. The sign depicting a molar carved from the solid in pine. A graphic design showing three roots and a large gold filling on one quadrant. Mounted with original wrought iron hanging bracket and with remnants of white painted surfaces, the filling gold gilt over pink gesso. SIZE: Overall: 22″ l. CONDITION: Structurally good with old lead plate repair on shrinkage crack. Hanging bracket original. With old stress and shrinkage cracks as noted. 9-29017 (1,200-1,500)
