POPP SPECIAL GAS POWERED RACER. Circa 1940, this rarity is powered by an Ignition .60 Super Cyclone engine. The Popp cars were made in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and were considered quite large. They bore a resemblance to the Bremer Whirlwind, also made in Milwaukee. The Popp cars are very high quality pieces and expensive to produce. As such, very few were made. In 1998, Mr. Popp’s widow sold the last of her late husband’s parts stock and four cars were assembled from them. This example is one of these four. SIZE: 20″ l.
