TWO MEISSEN FIGURINES. Third quarter 19th century through first quarter 20th century. German. Each figure of a young girl at play. First in lavender dress with bow tied blue cap, playing with doll, standing on scrolled plinth. Second in lavender dress wearing blue cap with plume, playing with toy lamb, standing on scrolled plinth. Incised “G 79” + “G 90”. Impressed mark “47” + “47”. Painted in red “84” + “84”. Crossed swords in underglaze blue on each. Each dress with “lace Dresden” details. SIZE: 5-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Both very good with minimal and minor losses to lace trim. 9-24520 (1,000-1,500)
