MEISSEN FIGURINE OF WOMAN CARD PLAYER. Probably second quarter 19th century, German. Depicting well dressed female with wide hat dealing cards at a small table posed with right foot on table leg. Dress rendered with “lace dresden” details. All on circular plinth. Incised “F. 64.” and impressed “44”. Painted in red “462” and “15”. With crossed swords in underglaze blue. SIZE: 6-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: From a fine New Jersey home. CONDITION: Overall minor losses to “lace” in details of dress, small chip on top rim rear of base. Otherwise very good. 9-24514 (1,000-1,500)
