SEMI-ANTIQUE KUBA OR BAKU RUG, AZERBAIJAN. Circa 1900. This fine example decorated overall with repeating stylized medallions in pink, jade green, and terra cotta, each centering a mustard yellow stylized urn, within medium blue and brick red latticework on a blue-black field, the cream main border with alternating polychrome birds and stylized meandering vinery, the rose-pink guard borders with floral latticework. SIZE: 5’11” x 3’11”. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: With low even wear overall, some loss to fringes. Otherwise very good. 9-93569 (1,000-2,000)
