AMERICAN “LONESTAR” QUILT. Second half 19th century. The eight-pointed star quilted with rows of polychrome diamonds forming a circular pattern on a cream ground hand-stitched with flowers, all within a border of polychrome diamonds, the outer border stitched with figure 8 latticework, mounted on a custom hinged frame. SIZE: 76″ h x 84″ w. CONDITION: With overall minimum fading, some very slight discoloration to cream ground. Otherwise very good. 9-20345 (500-700)
