HAND CARVED PEG-LEG. 19th century, America. The hardwood peg-leg well formed and hollowed at upper end fitted with leather fastening tongs. The end wrapped in leather binding. SIZE: 38-1/4″ l. PROVENANCE: Formally on loan to the Hawaii Maritime Museum. CONDITION: Tip of peg-leg broken and absent, otherwise with good early untouched surfaces. With old color and patina. Fastening straps missing on one side and partially present on top flange. 7-70278 (600-800)
