LOT OF 5 CIVIL WAR CAP BOXES. 1) Box is marked “SHANNON & Co., NEW YORK”, and inspected. Good, solid box with crazing and chipping of finish. 2) Box is marked “WATERTOWN ARSENAL, 1864, US”. This box is in very good condition, probably surplus. 3) Box is marked “SICKLES & Co. SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI”. Belt loops are dry and misshaped. Otherwise box is solid and very good. Marking is easy to read. 4) Box has a Maine maker, maker’s name not discernible. Box is solid, has inscribed line around perimeter. 5) Box is marked “S. WILLIAMS MAKER, NEW YORK”.
