BRASS BOUND TEAK CAMPAIGN CHEST WITH DESK. First quarter 19th century, England. In two parts, the rectangular upper case fitted with two long drawers, the uppermost with hinged front opening to writing surface, the interior fully fitted with drawers joined to the conforming lower case of two long drawers raised on incised turnip feet. SIZE: 40″ h x 41-1/2″ l x 18-3/4″ d. PROVENANCE: By descent through the Walter Rothschild family of New York. CONDITION: Good original surfaces. Brass hardware and strapping original and intact.
