NEW ENGLAND SHERATON CARVED MAHOGANY BOW-FRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. 2nd quarter 19th century. The rectangular top with bow front and turned turret corners fitted with an arched splashguard with scrolled ears. The chest of four bowed drawers with crotched mahogany panels and cockbeaded edges flanked by engaged three-quarter column bobbin pilasters, continuing to tapering turned cylindrical feet. The chest with recessed end panels. SIZE: 39″ h. x 43-1/2″ overall w. x 22″ d. CONDITION: Chest retains original finish. Veneer loss to drawer divider as visible in photo. Shrinkage cracks on end panels, shrinkage cracks in surface of top. 9-99126 (600-900)
