SHERATON MAHOGANY WASH STAND. First quarter of the 19th Century, probably coastal Massachusetts. Rectangular top with three-quarter shaped splash guard and fitted with corner candle brackets. The rectangular top originally fitted for wash basin and utensils now mounted with a secondary solid top. Raised on four swelled spiral twist legs joined by a scalloped apron, and with a medial shelf fitted with a single cock beaded drawer. The whole raised on swelled cylindrical ring-turned legs. SIZE: 40-1/2″ h; 31-1/2″ h of working surface x 22″ w x 16-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Very good overall with cleaned and polished original surfaces. 9-98783 (600-900)
