The three-board oil painted scene shows several well dressed men inspecting a number of steer & horses as they talk amongst themselves, possibly prior to an auction. There is a covered wagon rolling past a very large barn having water and large ship sailing past in the background. On the left is a large Colonial farmhouse, all under blue & white cloud sky.
