NEW ENGLAND CLASSICAL MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS. 2nd quarter 19th century. The rectangular case surmounted by a deck top fitted with three aligned drawers, the centermost affixed with paper label of the retailer: “ALBERT WINE & CO./Antique furniture/1100-1104 Broad Street,/Providence, R.I.” The case fitted with a bolection curved upper drawer over three graduated long drawers over three recessed graduated long drawers flanked by freestanding columns, the case sides with recessed panels, raised on acanthus-carved hairy claw frontal feet, the rear legs with turned turnip feet. SIZE: 48″ h. x 43-1/2″ w. x 21″ d. CONDITION: Chest of drawers retains original wooden handles and finish. Very good overall. 9-99228 (800-1,200)
