Additional Information: This is a “John Quincy” model made as a copy of a Bellamy Eagle, made by Artistic Carving Co and was illustrated in their catalog on page 2. Mid 20th Century. CARVED EAGLE BY JOHN HALEY BELLAMY. Last quarter 19th century, Kittery, Maine. A small stylized displayed eagle clutching the great seal of the United States. The smaller of his carvings with well delineated plumage. John Haley Bellamy (1836–1914), known for his marine carvings and various renditions of eagles. SIZE: 34″ l x 6″ h x 3-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Carving retains original surfaces, and with recent loss to proper left wingtip. 9-27477 (700-900)
