HAND WRITTEN CHARTER OF THE PISCATAQUA YACHT CLUB, KITTERY PT. MAINE, 1891. 1891-1896 Piscataqua Yacht Club, (Club House in Kittery Point, Maine) charter book with minutes and accounts written in various hands, “Organized July 20, 1891” The book begins with “Constitution/Officers” listing duties of officers and various committees as well as a list of by-laws, and minutes of meetings beginning on the date of organization. It further notes and reports members of the Regatta Committee with listings of regattas and boats involved with their times of finish. Many of the area’s prestigious family names such as Stephen Decatur; Frederic Sise, Jacob Wendell, Frederick Bradbury, including a withdrawal of membership on Eldredge Brewing Co. letterhead signed by H. Fisher Eldredge, dated 1897, Portsmouth, NH. SIZE: 8-1/4″ X 5-1/4″. CONDITION: Separations to binding, good overall. 7-70240 (200-400)
