US CIVIL WAR CARTRIDGE BOX AND SLING. Standard issue 58 Cal. cartridge box and sling. Cartridge box has lead-filled US cartridge box plate and orig tins. Inside flap is marked ‘DINGEE MAKERS, NEW YORK”. Inside flap is written name “S.J. EIKER(?), 369”. Cartridge box sling is not cut for breastplate. CONDITION: Box is sound, much of the surface is crazed. Loss of finish around edges and scattered over box and sling. Box is covered with protectorate. Leather repair to sling using new piece of leather reinforcement. 4-56197 JS85 (500-1,000)
