FINE DIORAMA OF A COASTAL FISHING STEAMSHIP. Late 19th century, America. “Abbie”. The black hulled vessel gaff-rigged with single mast surmounted by a fish weathervane, and with forecastle. The main cabin at the stern mounted with funnel additionally with three fishing dories. Running on a calm sea approaching a lighthouse. The curved back of the diorama painted with blue sky and wispy clouds, all within a molded oak frame. SIZE: 22-1/2″ h x overall 32″ l x 7″ d. CONDITION: Generally very good. Ship structurally intact. With minor old shrinkage cracks in sky. Painted surface of water at stern of boat with area of roughness. 9-27713 (800-1,200)
