ART NOUVEAU INLAID MAHOGANY BALLOON CASE CLOCK. Late 19th, early 20th century. Mahogany balloon form case inlaid with flowers in the Art Nouveau taste on incurved molded plinth on suppressed ball feet. Enamel dial with Roman numeral chapter ring and time and strike apertures. Brass 8-day movement marked “D.C.Co.” within an oval above impressed mark “F. Marti” “Medaille d’or Paris 1900”. Backplate stamped “52”. Offered with pendulum. SIZE: 17-3/4″ h x 10″ w overall x 5-3/4″ d overall. CONDITION: Case very fine with nice polished surfaces and good patina. Shallow dent in proper left side of molded base. Enamel dial good.
