FRENCH CLASSICAL EMPIRE EBONY AND GILT BRONZE PONS, PARIS, MANTEL CLOCK. Circa 1823. The architectural case with molded cornice above the straight frieze, raised on four ebony Corinthian columns mounted with cast-brass capitals and bases, centering the cased brass movement with burnished dial having Roman numeral chapter ring and time/strike aperture, the dated eight-day movement with Brockot patent escapement. The brass pendulum weighted and adjustable. SIZE: 23-1/2″ h. x 12″ w. x 6-1/2″ d. CONDITION: Fully cleaned and restored approximately 20 years ago. In fine overall condition. 9-94247 (800-1,200)
