REDWARE MOLDED SPITOON, 2 PITCHERS & SMALL BULBOUS CROCK. 19th century, Virginia and Pennsylvania. Spittoon molded with floral spray within a cartouche, the everted rim molded with leaftips, probably Bell Bros., Virginia. Larger pitcher with an olive green matte glaze, incised line at shoulder, unglazed base rim and slightly pinched spout. Second pitcher in a medium brown glaze, applied with thumbprint handle. Small crock with everted rim in a dark coffee brown glaze. SIZE: Spittoon: 5″ h. 1st pitcher: 9-3/4″ h. 2nd pitcher: 8″ h. Crock: 6-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Spittoon with wear to painted surfaces and old shallow chips on base rim. Larger pitcher with spots of glazing loss overall and base rim chip, otherwise good. Smaller pitcher with shallow chip to spout area, body with U-shaped spider crack. Crock with minor losses around upper rim, otherwise very good. 9-99750 (300-500)
