JEAN LAURENS (19th/20th Century) RUSSIAN CURRIER. Oil on canvas winter scene shows a six-horse pulled sleigh driven by a man on one of the horses and a man with a gun looks back at two wolves in the snowbank. Signed lower left and dated “1907”. Housed in a period gesso decorated gilt frame (with losses) with gilt liners having title plaque. SIZE: 20″ x 30″. PROVENANCE: From a West Virginia Collection.
