NEW ENGLAND MAPLE AND FIGURED BIRCH BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. First quarter 19th century. The rectangular top with bow front above the conforming case of four long graduated drawers, raised on flared French feet centering a scalloped shaped apron. SIZE: 37-1/2″ h. x 38-1/2″ overall w. x 20″ d. PROVENANCE: From a fine Beacon Hill and Thomaston estate. CONDITION: Retains old repolished surface. Veneer repair to top drawer, veneer chip left side third drawer facing. Now mounted with third set of hardware, antique but not original. Second drawer rebuilt.
