ARTHUR J HAMMOND (1875-1947) SURF AT CARMEL, CALIFORNIA. Oil on canvas coastal scene shows dark to light blue waves with white crests crashing onto rocks under gray sky. Signed lower right “A J Hammond 1915”. Back of canvas with title, signature and address. Also a North Shore Art Association 23rd Annual Exhibition, 1945 label with alternative title “Pacific Surf” attached to back. Housed in a period gilt molded wood frame. SIZE: 24″ x 30″.
