ORIGINAL UNCLE SAM CAST IRON BANK. Full-figure if Uncle Sam with a blue umbrella in his left hand, which fits into a hole in the base of the bank. A red suitcase by his right foot is labeled “US”. Red base of the bank pictures the American eagle with a blue banner reading “Uncle Sam” above it. On either side of the base is marked “bank”. A keyed-opening is in the rear of the base, the bottom of the base has twenty-four 1/4 ” holes. Put a coin in his hand, push the button behind him and the suitcase opens to receive the coin as his mouth opens and his goatee wobbles. Pat., June 8th 1886 by Shepherd. All original paint.
