ALFRED GEORGE STANNARD (British, 1828-1885) ENGLISH FISHING FLEET. Unsigned oil on canvas coastal scene shows several fishing boats at low tide being readied for a fishing trip. Several people are seen in & about and several boats are seen in calm water. A house with stairway is seen on left side with drying nets on the wall. All under light blue & cloud sky. Housed in a modern gilt frame. SIZE: 21-1/4″ x 28-3/4″. CONDITION: Relined, craquelure, a couple of small chips, otherwise very good. 9-23112 (600-800)
