CURRIER & IVES (Publisher, 19th Century) “THE CELEBRATED TROTTING STALLIONS ETHAN ALLEN AND GEORGE M. PATCHEN”. Conningham’s Checklist No. 938 after a painting by L. Maurer. Large folio colored print showing two sulkies racing. Dated 1858 with what appears to be full margins and full legend. Back sealed, not examined out of frame. Housed in a black molded wood frame. SIZE: Sight: 21-1/2″ x 31-1/4″. CONDITION: Some staining to margins, foxing line at center, several tight splits in margins, discolored line through top of image. Colors are still vibrant. 9-93268 (500-1,000)
