VICTORIAN CARVED WALNUT LOCKSIDE CHEST. Third quarter 19th century, American. This nice example with pierce carved gallery centering a deep glove box with drawer, all above the rectangular top with molded edge over the conforming case. Fitted with six long drawers, each with three raised burl walnut panels. The proper left pilaster hinged and locking on the bank of drawers. The case sides with recessed panels. SIZE: 66″ h overall x 39-1/2″ w 19″ d. CONDITION: Structurally very good. Chest retains original surfaces with dark color and patina. Chest with original brass handles.
