UNSIGNED (Italian, 19th Century or earlier) SAINT PETER. Oil on wood panel half portrait of a man with white beard wearing an orange/red robe over a blue robe holding an object in his hand. He is seen against a blue sky background with white clouds and has a faint shadow of a halo. The panel has a wood latticework cradle on reverse and is housed in a Victorian walnut molded frame with gilt liner. SIZE: 16″ x 12″. CONDITION: Small scratch in upper left sky, restored with inpainting. 9-96828 (1,000-1,500)
