RHODE ISLAND FEDERAL INLAID CHERRY CARD TABLE, POSSIBLY PROVIDENCE. Circa 1810. The rectangular top with ogival corners, the edges with diagonal banding, above the conforming frieze fitted with a small central drawer with central oval inlaid patera, the lower edge with triangle and diamond banding, raised on square tapered legs headed by contrasting figured cartouches, diamond inlays, and string inlay with banded cuffs. SIZE: 29-1/2″ h. x 35″ w. x 17″ d. PROVENANCE: From the Easton family estate, Paradise Farm, Middletown, R.I by descendant to the current owner. CONDITION: Table retains nice original surfaces with very good patina. No restorations. Minor splits in apron veneer. Small old chip beneath fixed top at hinge.
