MODEL 1826 J.J. HENRY MILITIA PISTOL. SN NSN. Cal. 54. 8-9/16″ rnd iron bbl unmarked. Lock marked under pan “J.J.HENRY/BOULTON”. Walnut stock of typical shape and lacks inspection marks which is common with militia pistols. Number of these pistols made is unknown, as John Joseph Henry bought the Boulton Works from his brother William in 1822 and continued its operations without government contracts. PROVENANCE: Charles Radcliffe Collection. Ex. Bob Jeska Collection. CONDITION: Metal is in very good condition with only slight evidence of light pitting in touch hole and breech region on bbl. Walnut stock is in excellent condition with good edges and only a couple of minor nicks and dings. Overall the gun is in very nice condition and hard to fine martial flintlock. 4-39597 PAS32 (2,000-4,000)
