CLASSIQUE REVERSE PAINTED TABLE LAMP. Helmet shaped shade is beautifully reverse painted with oriental garden design. The colors used in the landscape are spring green, yellow, and many shades of blue. The oriental influenced structures that the water flows through are extremely well detailed. In thirty years of dealing in reverse painted lamps, this is the first time we have seen this example of lamp shade. Supporting the shade is a base with oriental influence of baluster form and an oriental band encircles the shaft and then is repeated on the obverse fluted edge foot. The finish of the base has a gun metal feel with yellow and red in the design. This lamp is completed with two sockets, top cap, and finial. The shade is signed “Classique 8206” and the base is signed “Classique Lamps”. SIZE: Shade 18″ diameter. Lamp 22″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent with minor wear to base. 5-69187 (1,500-2,500)
