WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE CUP. Very rare miniature Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre York cup in the Nizami pattern is decorated on the outside with a background of striated blue-green color with gold geometric border. The central interior has a scene of two deers gazing in the fields in a detail reserved on green ground, the rim with a gilt fretwork band border (illustrated in Unda des Fontaines Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre page 259, fig. 126b). The central pattern features two deer in shades of which surrounded by gilt trees in greens, reds and oranges. The sky is also orange and green with blues and a background of purple. Marked on the underside with Portland vase, “Wedgwood” and “Made in England”. SIZE: 3-1/2” dia x 1-3/4” t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 5-63167 (4,000-5,000)
