FIGURAL GROUPING OF A STEEPLECHASE, CAST SILVERED METAL. First quarter 20th century. The cast-metal group stamped “FRANCE” in three locations around the plinth. Depicting three race horses with their jockeys in full stride jumping obstacles, mounted on a plinth modeled with branches, leaves, and tree trunks. SIZE: 11-1/2″ h x 32″ l x 9″ w. CONDITION: With good old patina. Damages to forelegs of first horse. Corrosion to riders at saddles. Otherwise good overall. 9-92636 (2,500-4,000)
