FEDERAL TIGER MAPLE & CHERRY BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS. First quarter 19th century, New England. The rectangular bowfront case fitted with four conforming graduated long drawers with tiger maple front panels within borders of contrasting string inlays, the edges cockbeaded with mahogany crossbanding above a string inlaid swelled apron raised on splayed angular slender French feet. SIZE: 39-3/4″ h x 45″ w x 24″ d. CONDITION: Professionally cleaned and repolished. Item retains original stamped brass hardware, “Nothing Without Labor”. Very good. 9-29617 (4,000-6,000)
