SEVRES CENTER BOWL WITH LION AND SERPENT MOUNTS. 19th century, French. Oval bowl of cobalt blue enamel with gilt seaweed decoration, each side with a central cartouche decorated with exotic birds in a tropical landscape. Gilt metal mounted on Classical pedestal supported by opposing rearing lions continuing to entwined double serpent handles. Edges of bowl mounted with gilt brass scrollwork.
