LARGE CARVED PINE FISH TRADE SIGN. Late 19th- early 20th century, American. This fine two sided carving of a tuna fish in blue paint with well delineated fins and with original iron hanging straps and with weathered surfaces. SIZE: 88-1/2″ l x 30″ h x 7″ w. PROVENANCE: Jimmy’s Harborside Restaurant, Boston, Massachusetts. CONDITION: The original painted surfaces, weathered and worn. 10 inch squared copper plate affixed to side body as a support for old shrinkage crack. Otherwise very good. 9-28131 (2,000-2,700)
